I can't put my finger on it, but there's something that I just LOATHE about the way these cars are set up inside. It's like everything is so cheap and simple, and yet still not completely intuitive.

I would say so. This mass of nondescript buttons makes Acura's layout look almost logical.

Probably because most of the interior looks modern but the head unit looks like they pulled it straight out of a 2006 c class.

I think it looks good, it's just that big black square buttonfest in the middle looks like something of a mid-90's JDM Lexus.

I don't get what's so confusing here. The buttons on the right are just a number pad used for presets, entering a radio frequency, or dialing a number (though Mercedes is fazing out the number pad). On the left is hard buttons to switch between functions. I always thought it was pretty straightforward.

The ultra-modern vents just make it that much worse.

And this shitty mass of uniform, square, nondescript buttons makes CUE look like a Godsend.

Personally, I love Merc interiors. My favorite by far.

I don't like it either.

Particularly the abundance of cheap fucking plastic. Dash, doors, leg area, everywhere! Ive seen mid-range Hyundae (?) with more plush interior.

And I don't see what value the number buttons add to the console - unless Benz owners place high value on confusion and rage-button-punching while driving. I mean sure, if this was the 90's they would be obligatory for luxury cars.
